Elections are going on. Georges, 40 years old , is a left-wing leader who has lost his "vocation". Taking advantage of a breakdown, he takes a walk along the road, a jerrican in his hand...
A Citroen Dolly stops. There is an immediate sympathy  between Georges, Gaston (71 years old) and Yvette (69 years old). But there is no place enough in the car and the old couple can't take Georges... Georges hitch-hikes and a Renault Espace stops. Aboard, there is a charming family with a pregnant mother. After a turn, a traffic jam. Georges goes ahead, to see what's going on. The Citroen Dolly of the old couple is upside down, on the middle of the road. Bernadette is dead, Henry is dying; Georges looks after him...
The passengers of the other cars in the traffic jam are coming to live, everyone behaving its own way facing the waiting...
