The Portrait
Paris, autumn 1621, in the studio of the painter Franz Pourbus. The Master appoints Mathieu, his best apprentice, to fill the order of a great Spanish noble, and to paint the portrait of the Infanta Marguerite Eleonor during her stay in France. The young Mathieu will have to cope with his first bout of artististic loneliness in particularly restrictive conditions.
